The King Hamad University Hospital project stands as a beacon of excellence in healthcare infrastructure, commissioned by the esteemed Ministry of Works & Housing. Spearheaded by AHDG/Ismail Khonji Assoc. and executed by the eminent Nass – Burhan JV, this transformative endeavor embodies a commitment to delivering world-class healthcare facilities in the heart of Bahrain.
Project Description:
The project entails the construction of a state-of-the-art, four-storey, 312-bed General Hospital of First Class International Standard, meticulously designed to meet the evolving needs of the community. Spanning a sprawling area of 22,500 square meters in Busaiteen, the hospital is poised to set new benchmarks in healthcare excellence.
The construction works encompass three blocks configured across four stories, interspersed with courtyards that infuse natural light and serenity into the healing environment. Connectivity is enhanced through two parallel sky-walks running east-west, seamlessly linking each block.
Key features of the project include the construction of a spacious car park capable of accommodating 951 vehicles, ensuring convenient access for patients, visitors, and staff. Additionally, a dedicated Helipad located on the second level provides direct access to the emergency department, facilitating swift medical interventions when every moment counts.
