Project Scope:
The Sh. Jaber Al Ahmed Al Subah Highway Upgrade Project, encompassing the transformation of the Alba and Nuwaidrat Interchanges, stands as a hallmark of modern infrastructure development under the auspices of the esteemed Ministry of Works, Roads Project & Maintenance Directorate, in collaboration with Parsons Global Services Limited.
Project Highlights:
- Alba Interchange:
- Replacement of the existing Alba Roundabout with a state-of-the-art three-level interchange, enhancing traffic flow and safety.
- Nuwaidrat Interchange:
- Replacement of the existing Nuwaidrat Roundabout with a modern two-level interchange, optimizing connectivity and accessibility.
- Highway and Road Upgrades:
- Comprehensive upgrade of all highways and roadways leading to the Alba and Nuwaidrat Interchanges, including:
- Sh. Jaber Al Ahmed Al Subah Highway (SJAS Hwy)
- King Hamad Highway (KH Hwy)
- Estegal Highway
- Moaskar Highway
- Avenue 15
- Refinery Avenue
- Comprehensive upgrade of all highways and roadways leading to the Alba and Nuwaidrat Interchanges, including:
- Utility Related Works:
- Relocation of critical infrastructure to accommodate the project’s requirements, including:
- Relocation of 220 kV, 66kV, and 11kV cables
- Relocation of water distribution and transmission pipelines
- Relocation of telecommunication networks
- Relocation of twin 16” BAPCO gas pipelines
- Extension of BAPCO culvert and ducts across King Hamad Highway
- Relocation of critical infrastructure to accommodate the project’s requirements, including:
