Project Overview:
The completion of the Isa Town Gate Interchange Junction Flyover marks a significant milestone in Bahrain’s infrastructure development journey. Commissioned by the esteemed Ministry of Works & Housing and meticulously overseen by Hyder Consulting, this transformative project was brought to fruition by Nass Contracting Co. WLL. Located in the bustling heart of Isa Town, this project underscores our commitment to enhancing connectivity, safety, and efficiency in Bahrain’s transportation network.
Project Scope:
To fulfill the remaining works, including a comprehensive upgrade of the Isa Town Gate Junction roundabout to a Grade-separated junction, integrating an Overpass/Underpass structure with a signalized junction at grade, and facilitating all utility arrangements. Notably, the project involves the relocation of an existing landmark structure, setting the stage for enhanced urban functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Key Components:
- Road Works: Extensive road infrastructure enhancements encompassing excavation, filling, road base construction, infiltration basins, ditches, block paving, footpath installation, installation of corrugated crash barriers, high mast foundations, and civil works for electrical systems.
- Viaduct Construction: Precise execution of concrete works for pile caps, columns, and stitch concrete, along with the casting and erection of precast segments, stressing, grouting, and installation of bridge furniture, including bearings, expansion joints, and waterproofing.
- Underpass Construction: Complex excavation and concrete works for pavement slabs, retaining walls, and in-situ deck slabs, along with partial stressing of erected I-beams, pumping stations for storm and sewage water, installation of ground anchors, stressing, testing, waterproofing, and finishing.
- Isa Town Gate: Provision of power supply to panel boards, including capital contributions to relevant authorities and ceremonial plaques, ensuring seamless functionality and operational readiness.
- Other Works: Temporary works associated with traffic diversion, soil nailing, and other essential components to facilitate smooth project execution.
