Project Overview:
The BAPCO Modernization Program, entrusted to TTSJV W.L.L. under the astute guidance of IPMT Consultants, represents a pivotal endeavor in advancing the infrastructure at the esteemed BAPCO Refinery in Bahrain. This multifaceted project encompasses Civil & Underground Works across five distinct areas, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability within the refinery complex.
Work Description:
The project’s scope of work is comprehensive, covering a spectrum of Civil & Underground Works across Areas 1 to 5:
- Site Preparation and Earthworks:
- Demolition of existing ground facilities, including underground piping, concrete foundations, catch basins, roads, pavements, buildings, and shelters.
- Precision earthworks encompassing grubbing, scrubbing, excavation, material transport, backfilling, embankments, surface leveling, and compaction to establish a robust foundation.
- Construction of Underground Systems:
- Excavation and construction of drainage systems, electrical, and instrument cable trenches, involving trenching, shoring, formwork, and backfilling.
- Installation of duct banks, carbon steel RTR & PVC pipes, and reinforced concrete structures such as cooling water towers and pits.
- Concrete Foundation and Elevated Works:
- Excavation, leveling, and preparation of surfaces for concrete works.
- Installation of formworks, pouring of concrete, placement of steel bars and embedded elements, and meticulous finishing and curing processes.
- Supply and Installation of Precast Elements:
- Provision and installation of pipe sleepers to augment structural integrity and functionality.
- Pavement and Roads:
- Preparation and construction of pavements and roads, including excavation, leveling, surface preparation, and installation of concrete and asphalt surfaces.
