The Drydock Highway Improvement Project, commissioned by the esteemed Ministry of Works, signifies a pivotal step towards enhancing transportation infrastructure in Bahrain. Under the meticulous oversight of the Ministry of Works, Nass Asphalt, as the main contractor, executed a comprehensive plan to elevate the Drydock Highway and construct a new link road connecting to Samahij village.
Key Project Works:
Drydock Highway:
- Removal of existing street lights, safety barriers, and kerbs, followed by the meticulous protection of existing services to ensure operational continuity.
- Implementation of new service ducts, road kerbs, sub-bases, and asphalt base and wearing course to enhance durability and road quality.
- Installation of state-of-the-art safety barriers and street lighting systems to prioritize road user safety.
- Impeccable road markings, signs, and traffic signal installation to optimize traffic flow and ensure regulatory compliance.
Samahij Road:
- Excavation and fill operations for the construction of a new road, complemented by the installation of a new storm drainage line to manage water runoff effectively.
- Placement of new road kerbs, sub-bases, asphalt base, and wearing course to deliver a smooth and durable driving surface.
- Construction of block-paved speed tables to enhance traffic calming measures and ensure pedestrian safety.
- Implementation of road markings, signs, and other regulatory measures to facilitate safe and efficient traffic movement.
